The two friends, who have been travelling together a couple of times, arrived in Samoa last week Sunday.
It is their first time in Samoa.
“From the moment we got to the airport, the people have been really helpful.”
“It was excellent walking through the airport, really smooth, straight in there, everything worked,” Debbie shared.
“There have been people singing in the hall. The driver picked us up and even stopped at a shop for us,” Kerry added.
“People here are much friendlier, much more beautiful. The people seemed to be more open here,” Debbie said.
“It is much cleaner here compared to Bali and very laid back. We would not take a car to drive around in Bali, it is crazy the traffic over there. Just really relaxed here,” she said.
They are staying at the Saletoga Sands Resort.
Debbie added: “I really like it because some places you travel everyone hustles you to buy stuff. It is really nice here, everyone is laid back and we can enjoy it more. The people wave at us down the road, which is really nice.”
“It is impressive how clean it is.”
Kerrie shared: “The colours around the roads, all the plants, it is amazing. I was really surprised how proud the people are of their land and they make it nice to impress, it is gorgeous.”
“The food was delicious. Tomorrow (today) we are going to the culture night and definitely try some local food. We did not have the opportunity to eat local food.”
They will leave the island next week Saturday.
“We told some of our friends to come to Samoa. We promote it on our Facebook pages. I do not know anybody else who has been to Samoa.”
