This weekend saw Esquire guests and some of the biggest names in the world of travel join forces for a party unlike any other, in the shade of the world’s tallest building – the Burj Khalifa.

The event – which was in partnership with the Seychelles Tourism Board – saw travel influencers and aficionados get up close and personal with representatives from one of the world’s best luxury destinations. The evening took place at The Palace Hotel Dubai’s outdoor viewing deck, with views over the Dubai Fountain.

Speaking at the event, Esquire Editor Baxter-Priest admitted that while he’s constantly on the go, “the Seychelles is one of my favourite places. Sun, sea, sand and a whole lot more – it is a delightful place”.

According to Sherin Francis, CEO of Seychelles Tourism Board, the UAE and the Middle East is an important region for the Seychelles. “The UAE is only three hours away from the Seychelles, and we are very impressed with how many more visitors we receive from the region. In future, we are looking to increase our fruitful relationship with special UAE-wide travel offers”.

Guests enjoyed drinks and canapes provided by The Palace Downtown, as well as urban music provided by some of the city’s finest DJs. More importantly, as the party continued into the early hours – and guests proceeded to pick up their Seychelles goodie bags (complete with further information on the luxury destination) – many guests agreed that good fun was had by all.
