Hemsworth and Damon in WA
The massive dollar figure analysis comes on the back of a trip to Western Australia by Hemsworth and Hollywood mate Matt Damon.
The Hemsworth and Damon families had spend the last few days and weeks in WA, visiting Perth, Rottnest, the north-west of Western Australia and beyond.
“We feel so lucky to have been able to go on an incredible trip to WA a beautiful place with amazing people,” Hemsworth’s Spanish wife Elsa Pataky wrote on Instagram.
“We slept in tents, had little water, and no phone signal or wi-fi. We were able to connect with our kids, partners and friends in deeper, different ways.
“Without the stress of routine, without agendas, plans or luxuries. Just beaches, shells, surf and games around the camp fire. I feel very fortunate.”
More Tourism Dollars
Earlier this week, the gov announced a funding boost of $12 million, thats extra to the $45 million allocated in the 2019-20 State Budget.
“We’ll be increasing the budget for tourism by $12 million so this is $9 million of new money and $3 million redirected from other areas,” Premier Mark McGowan said.
The money would be used to engage and lure potential Tourists to Western Australia from key Asian markets, like Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
The 2019 Western Australian Gourmet Escape is also expected to attract thousands of new visitors to the state, to sample our incredible food and wine produce.
